The Independence Chamber of Commerce has opened applications for the latest round of one of their yearly development programs, Leadership Independence.

 

Chamber President Lisa Wilson says the application process is very easy.

 

The purpose of the program is to provide future leaders with the skills necessary for solving the issues that face the community and to encourage networking with other class members. Wilson says employers are often willing to cover the cost of the class for participants.

 

Leadership Independence consists of eight sessions from September through April. Participants must be able to attend all sessions. The course begins on September 11. Anyone with questions can contact the Chamber at 620-331-1890
