The Attorney's General from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma join with 23 other states and US territories in urging the NCAA to restore the records, titles, awards and recognitions of female athletes that were denied because of biological males competing in women’s sports.
The group has sent a letter to NCAA President Charles Baker asking the association that governs college athletics to develop a plan to restore the recognition. Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach signed onto the letter along with Gentner Drummond of Oklahoma, Tim Griffin of Arkansas, and Andrew Bailey of Missouri.
The letter asks for the change, stating that the NCAA has the opportunity and privilege to impact the lives of student athletes in a positive or negative way and that recent events have denied deserving woman the recognition they have earned.
More than 500,000 college athletes from approximately 1,100 schools in all 50 states compete in the NCAA.
