The heat wave continues this week, with heat index values up to 110 degrees possible.
Most of eastern Kansas including southeast Kansas remains under an extreme heat warning through 7 p.m. Wednesday.
In Oklahoma, Washington, Nowata and Craig Counties and areas to the south are also included in an extreme heat warning through 8 tonight.
All of southern Missouri remains under an extreme heat warning through 7 p.m. Thursday.
The rest of the area not included in the extreme heat warning is under a heat advisory today.
Anyone working outside should take frequent breaks, drink water every 20 minutes and watch for any signs of heat-related illness.
