The Montgomery County Commission is set to meet today as they address a brief agenda.
Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins will appear before the commission to review the design engineering proposal from Cook, Flatt & Strobel Engineers of Topeka for an upcoming project on Peter Pan Road in Independence. The design will cost an estimated $138,000 and will cover engineering services for the project that will replace a bridge and include lane and shoulder widening between County Road 4600 and County Road 4800. The commission will also consider appointments to the Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board and hear an update about the County’s partnership with Merchant McIntyre regarding federal funding. An executive session will also be held to discuss non-elected personnel.
Today’s meeting begins at 9am in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
