Mandatory Boil Water Order Issued for Rogers County, OK, RWD #3, #12

A mandatory boil water advisory has been issued for two rural water districts in Rogers County, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has issued a mandatory order for Rogers County Rural Water District #3. The order applies to those customers who are supplied by water from the District's consecutive connection to the City of Tulsa, covering an area east of Owasso and bounded on the north by Highway 120. Rogers County Rural Water District #12 is under the same order since they receive their water from RWD #3.

The order was issued after E. coli bacteria was found in the drinking water.

Customers should bring water to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute prior to consumption or use bottled water instead.

The order is in effect until further notice.
