A Pittsburg man faces multiple charges after leading police on a brief chase earlier this week.
36-year-old Lakedric Williams was arrested on Wednesday morning following a police chase that began when Pittsburg Police officers responded to the scene of a reported domestic disturbance. When they arrived, officers saw Williams get into a silver Nissan Sentra and drive away. A chase ensued that ended when Williams lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle with officers.
Williams was formally charged yesterday morning in a Crawford County courtroom. Charges include Possession of an opiate, Felony Fleeing and eluding, Criminal threat, Interference with Law Enforcement, Criminal Damage to Property, Battery, and Operating a vehicle without a license.
