The City of Chetopa is asking residents for help in raising money to either repair or replace the Chetopa Swimming Pool.

 

According to the City, the pool is in need of some urgent repairs, and money for the repairs is not currently in the City budget. In light of the lack of funds, the City is asking the community to help raise the money to repair the existing pool or build a new splash pad.

 

The current fundraising goal is $300,000. Donations of any amount are welcome, with donors who contribute $100 or more receiving a Thank You certificate for the Bronze Level Donation. The Silver Level of $1000 or more will have their names listed on the Community Donor Wall, while Gold Sponsors contributing $5,000 or more will have their names or logo on a sign at the pool and will also receive a special plaque.

 

Donations will help save the Chetopa City Pool and keep a fun, safe, supervised recreation space for the community's kids. Donations can be made in person at the Chetopa City Office or at the Bank of Commerce in Chetopa.
