The state of Kansas is among the nation's leaders in overall measles cases.
That's the latest from Wilson County Health Department Director Amy Lell, who spoke with the county commission this week regarding the latest measle case report.
Lell says active cases have gone up, but they remain mostly on the other side of the state.
Kansas is currently among the top states in the country in terms of total measle cases. Lell says that Kansas, along with Oklahoma, are both in the Top 5.
Common symptoms of measles include high fever, cough, runny nose, red and watery eyes, and rash.
