Police in Garden City are investigating the shooting of three people yesterday morning.

 

Officers responded to a call to a local apartment complex around 5:30 yesterday morning where they found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound. That person was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City for medical care. A short time later, two more gunshot victims were dropped off via a personal vehicle at the hospital's emergency room. At that time, the hospital was placed on lockdown for a brief time to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Police are currently investigating to determine if the three victims were part of the same incident.

 

All three shooting victims were later transferred to Wichita hospitals to receive a higher level of care.

The investigation remains ongoing.
