A bicyclist who was struck by a car last week near Independence dies from his injuries.

 

53-year-old John Tim of Bradford, Pennsylvania, received serious injuries to his head and neck in an accident that occurred last Thursday night on US-160 . Tim was air-lifted to Ascension St John's Medical Center in Tulsa, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday night.

 

Tim was bicycling along the highway just east of Independence around 9:15 that night when he was struck from behind by a 2016 Ford Fusion. The driver of the car was uninjured in the accident.
