A Downtown Revitalization Grant is helping a potential new bakery make improvements to the outside of their building.
Andy and Lisa Krenz bought the location at 119 West 8th Street in 2022 and have been working on getting a bakery open since. Krenz says she's been baking out of her home for the last ten years and after the first few she knew she wanted to move into a storefront.
The grant was for $7,125 and will help make improvements to the building's facade. Krenz says they are excited to be in Coffeyville. The Bakeshop on 8th plans to be open at the end of 2026.
