Improvements to the Nowata County Courthouse continues to be a main topic of discussion for the Nowata County Commission. Commissioner Troy Friddle says air conditioning is a yearly struggle.

In other business, the Commission approved a lease renewal with Kirby Smith Machinery for the 2025-2026 fiscal year that will cost around $3,000 per month. The commissioners also accepted a $500 donation to Emergency Management, opened bids for polypropylene pipe and appointed a deputy.
