Drivers who take what is locally known as the Sedan shortcut will need to find a new route starting next week.
On Monday, the County will begin a project involving a culvert replacement on County Road 4000 just east of County Road 1900. Montgomery County Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins says a recent examination of the culvert showed a replacement was needed.
During repairs, both lanes of CR 4000 at the construction site will be completely closed. No through traffic will be allowed during the project, but a detour will be posted. Construction will begin Monday and the work is expected to last 90 days, weather permitting.
Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the Montgomery County Public Works Office at (620)330-1170.
