The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the killing of several dogs near Liberty.
The five dogs were found shot to death near McTaggert's Dam northwest of the City of Liberty last Wednesday. Montgomery County Sheriff Ron Wade has condemned the act as “pure evil,” stating that the senseless killing of innocent animals is not only unacceptable but also a violation of everything the community stands for. Several county residents have offered reward money for information leading to an arrest in the case. The total reward offered is now $1,600. Anyone with information on the case should contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office by calling (620) 330-1000 or messaging the Sheriff's Office on Facebook.
