A Parsons woman is injured in a single-vehicle crash in rural Wilson County.
The accident occurred around 12:30 Monday afternoon when 44-year-old Lerin Hickerson was traveling eastbound on County Road 2400 near the junction with US-75, or about 12 miles west of Chanute. Hickerson's 2022 GMC van veered off the road to the right, overcorrected, then left the roadway to the left. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its side. Hickerson was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with serious injuries.
