A boil order issued on Saturday for the City of Bartlesville water system has been removed, effective immediately.
The order was issued by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality following a positive test for E. coli at one of the City’s 40 sampling sites. Bartlesville Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen says flushing of the system took place, and samples were collected across the system.
Subsequent test results for the bacteria were negative. That order was lifted at approximately 8:15 p.m. last night.
