The Kansas Department of Health and Environment rescinds the boil water advisory for the City of Chautauqua in Chautauqua County.
The original advisory was issued on June 11 following a loss of pressure in the water system due to a water line break. The advisory was issued as a precaution because the pressure loss could lead to bacterial contamination. Laboratory testing of drinking water samples collected from the City of Chautauqua showed no evidence of bacterial contamination. This and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by K-D-H-E officials to be resolved.
