With the deadline to announce intent on revenue neutral rate approaching, Chautauqua County is weighing their options ahead of the July 20th deadline.
The commission must declare whether they anticipate to exceed the revenue neutral rate, and have the county clerk record that information. County Clerk Niki Collier says the rate follows a specific formula.
Commissioners discussed the situation for an extended portion of this week's meeting, but no action was taken. Collier says the commission will need to make a decision at next week's meeting.
Chautauqua County meets Mondays at 8:30 a.m. on the second floor of the courthouse in Sedan.
