A 64-year-old Derby, Kansas, man is injured in a crash on US-400 between Cherokee and Crawford Counties.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash took place around 2:15 yesterday afternoon, when a cargo van going west on US 400 hit a semi tractor that was parked on the westbound shoulder, due to a flat tire. The semi-tractor did have its hazard lights on.
The driver of the van, Mark Allen Dwyer, was taken to Mercy Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
US-400 was closed for a short time.
Multiple agencies, including KHP, Columbus Fire, Cherokee County Sheriff, and Crawford County Sheriff's Offices responded to the accident.
