There's still time to donate towards this year's Independence Fireworks Display.

 

So far, $16,553 of the $21,000 goal has been raised. Independence Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Wilson says it won't take too much more to get across the finish line.

 

Wilson says a contribution of any size will help.

 

The fireworks show will take place this Friday with good viewing possible from Riverside Park.

 

Checks can be made out to the Community Foundation for Independence with “fireworks” in the memo line to P.O. Box 41 in Independence. A link to donate can also be found HERE.
