Independence Community College had a special meeting of the Board of Trustees, with numerous insurance policies being approved.

 

The board unanimously elected to approve the proposed campus insurance policy, with a $5,900 increase to last year's total, but with more complete coverage as well. President Dr. Jonathan Sadhoo says there is also a change to how wind and hail coverage is tracked.

 

Additionally, the board approved the proposed athletic insurance, which was the same rate as last year, with a total of $293,994. The board also announced intent on the revenue neutral rate for the upcoming year. Sadhoo says the current plan is to remain under.

 

Other items of business at the special meeting was the approval of a vehicle purchase from Quality Motors, to be used for the Rural Outreach project.
