A Tennessee man is arrested on charges of distributing drugs near a school.
Earlier this week, a Chetopa Police officer was checking a vehicle at 1029 Maple Street in Chetopa. After making contact with the driver, the officer noticed something was off and called for K9 assistance. An Oswego K9 officer and his K9 Partner Tupac, along with the Labette County Sheriff's office, arrived on scene for assistance. Tupac alerted on the vehicle and a search was done.
Almost three pounds of methamphetamine was found hidden in the trunk. The driver, 45-year-old Jon Anthony Solberg from Big Sandy, Tennessee, was taken into custody and charged with the distribution of drugs within 1000 feet of a school.
