A bridge in Neosho County collapses.
At around 11:00am this morning, the Neosho County 911 center received a report that the Neosho River bridge on Veterans Road, south of 80th Road, had collapsed into the river. Neosho County Sheriff’s deputies and Neosho County Road and Bridge personnel responded to the scene.
The three-ton bridge appears to have collapsed from a large tree dropping onto the south end of it. The road will be closed indefinitely. There were no injuries.
