A potential decision in Allen County regarding landfill usage may cause problems in Wilson County.

 

Wilson County sends trash to Allen County for disposal. County Coordinator Kris Marple says, however, that a potential decision based around wind may cause problems in the county.

 

While a decision hasn't been made at this time, Wilson County is exploring potential options in the event of Allen County landfills being unavailable for multiple days or weeks at a time. Marple says there is one option in a different county.

 

Road and Bridge Director Kary Tatum also provided an update at this week's comission meeting. There will be no meeting next week, due to the Fourth of July holiday.
