Harvest season is here, and that can mean more farm equipment on roadways.
Wildcat Extension District Diversified Agriculture and Natural Resource Agent Adaven Rohling says this will include tractors and other heavy equipment.
Most farm equipment is not designed to travel at highway speeds and may only travel 15-25 mph. Rohling says it is important to slow down and have some patience with tractors and combines.
Rohling says this time of the year, corn crops have grown high and can obstruct what would otherwise be a clear view at an intersection. She says to slow down in those areas and be extra cautious looking for oncoming traffic.
