One is dead after an accident near Frontenac.
This morning just after 7 a.m., Crawford County 911 received a call about a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 69 and 160.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Ram 2500 was traveling south on 69 when the driver failed to stop for a red light.
The vehicle hit a Kia Soul driven by 21-year-old Matthew Jeffrey Westhoff-Strode of Girard who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver sustained no injuries and refused transport to the hospital.
Emergency personnel from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, Frontenac Police Department, Kansas Highway Patrol, Crawford County EMS, Arma Fire Department, and Frontenac Fire Department responded to the scene.
