Search Continues for Missing Erie Boy

The search continues for the 12-year-old Southeast Kansas boy hit by a train on a trestle bridge near Erie Wednesday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Arthur Pollries, of Walnut, Kansas, and 12-year-old Kollin Showwalter, of Erie, were hit as they were trying to get off the bridge over the Neosho River. Arthur's body has been recovered, but Kollin's is still missing.

Neosho County Sheriff Greg Taylor tells KOAM News that Kansas Task Force 4, along with emergency personnel from Neosho County, Chanute Fire, Pittsburg Fire, Anderson County Search and Rescue, Kansas Wildlife and Parks, and the Kansas Highway Patrol are using every available method to locate Showwalter.

 The search continues today.
