A theft at a fireworks store leads to the arrest of two southeast Kansas men.
Sunday, Crawford County Sheriff's deputies were called to Jake's Fireworks in Girard for a Burglary/Criminal Damage report. When deputies arrived, they found that a fence had been cut and multiple different styles of fireworks, tools, and other miscellaneous items were missing.
Sheriff's officials were able to identify the suspects, and search warrants for three separate properties in Pittsburg and Frontenac led to the reported stolen property.
Arrested for possible involvement in the case was 55-year-old Andrew Habjan and 54-year-old Richard Todd Lee. Lee has been charged with burglary, theft, and interference with law enforcement.
