The Montgomery County Commission approves an application for a Kansas Department of Transportation Economic Development Grant.

County Administrator Jonathan Booe says the county is applying on behalf of Spears Manufacturing in Caney.  Booe says this grant would help Spears with the construction of a railway spur.

The commission voted unanimously for the application to be submitted. In other business, the commission decided to table the decision on the resolution for the elimination of compensatory pay.
