The Coffeyville Police Department is warning businesses and residents about counterfeit bills being circulated in the area.

 CPD says the fake $100 and $20 Hollywood/Prop Money are popping up around town, with the words “For Motion Picture Purposes” on them.

 Authorities warn to look for sharp, detailed printing, embedded security threads, and watermarks. They suggest to compare suspect bills to known genuine ones and consider using a UV light or counterfeit detection pen to verify authenticity.
