A pending agreement would blur the line between Galena, Kansas and Missouri agencies along the state line.

 An approval for an updated mutual aid agreement is on the next Galena City Council meeting agenda, and Mayor Ashley Groves says this updated agreement would make sure Galena and neighboring agencies would be on the same page with when and how to respond.

 The agreement would be with communities like Columbus and Baxter Springs, but also with agencies in Missouri like Joplin and Carl Junction. The agreement would be for more than police; it would include first responders as well.

 Groves says city leaders and first responders from all communities will meet and work out the details once the agreement is approved by the city council.
