A one-vehicle accident Sunday night sends a man to the hospital with serious injuries.
The accident took place around 9:45 p.m. on I-44 westbound near Mile Marker 12.6. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the westbound Dodge pickup struck the right guardrail at a higher rate of speed, causing the truck to overturn several times.
The 58-year-old male driver was transported high priority to a Joplin area hospital. Joplin Fire and Police, Joplin EMS and MoDOT Emergency Management responded to the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
