Montgomery County Commission to Look at Compensatory Time

 

The Montgomery County Commission will look at possibly eliminating compensatory time at this morning's meeting.

 

County Administrator Jonathan Booe will speak with the commission about a resolution for getting rid of compensatory time for county employees. Comp time is paid time off that an employee earns instead of overtime pay for working extra hours.

 

Other items on the agenda, include an update from Merchant McIntyre's Will Hoing and Mary Ellen Golcheski and the commission will look at approving an application for a Kansas Department of Transportation Economic Development Grant. Montgomery County Action Council's Melissa Johnson and Geoff Collins will speak with the commission on this. Johnson will also join the commission in an executive session to discuss confidential information relating to financial affairs or trade secrets.

 

The commission meets this morning at 9:00am in the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend. The meeting is also streamed online at the County's website.
