The City of Neodesha welcomes a new member to its city commission.
Ed Truelove was sworn in a City Commissioner at this week's meeting of the Neodesha City Commission. Mayor Devin Johnson says the swearing in ceremony was their first item of business.
Truelove then took the oath of office as administered by City Clerk Stefanie Fyfe.
Truelove is no stranger to the Neodesha City government. He served as City Administrator for more than 8 years before leaving to take a similar position in Lyons, KS, where he retired in September 2024. Truelove has also served as a police officer in Wichita and as Chief of Police for the City of Sterling. He was appointed to fill the commission seat left vacant when Chris Jabben resigned in April. Truelove will finish that term, which expires in January 2028.
