The Kansas Department of Health and Environment rescinds the stream advisory for the Walnut River just south of El Dorado in Butler County.
The original advisory was issued on June 5th for the Walnut River from US-54 south to Turkey Creek. The advisory was issued due to a damaged pipe that was discharging untreated wastewater into the river. The damaged pipe has been repaired and the K-D-H-E has deemed the waters safe for wading and livestock use.
