A recently recaptured convicted murderer from Arkansas is transferred to a supermax prison.

56-year-old Grant Hardin escaped custody from the North Central Unit in Calico Rock, Arkansas, on May 25 and was recaptured about two miles from that facility on the afternoon of June 6. Hardin was serving sentences for convictions of first-degree murder and rape when he walked out of the Calico Rock prison wearing a makeshift prison employee disguise.

After being recaptured over the weekend by the U.S. Border Patrol, Hardin was transferred to the Varner SuperMax facility in Gould, Arkansas, where he will be housed moving forward.
