South Coffeyville Bond Issue to go Before Voters in Fall

A bond issue will be before South Coffeyville Voters in August for repairs at the school.

At last night's meeting, the South Coffeyville School Board approved a $1.2 million bond issue to go before voters in August. Superintendent Daryl Pruter says this bond will address some needed repairs.

If passed, the average property with a home value of $68,000 will see a monthly increase of $5.75 in taxes. The special election will be held on August 12th and requires a 60% majority to pass.

In other business, the board hired Hali Titus as the new high school secretary. After the meeting, some board members were shown some classroom issues that could be corrected with money from the bond.
