Montgomery County Commissioners hear updates from several county departments at this week's meeting.

County Environmental and Zoning Director Matt Debo appeared before the commission at today's meeting with some minor changes to the County Solid Waste Plan. The changes mainly involved changing names to reflect several personnel changes that occurred in the past year. Debo also says his department has been busy with inspections, though the recent rains have made things difficult.

 

Debo says his department has completed several site and soil inspections.

 

In other business, commissioners approved a request from Building Maintenance and Facilities Director Jeff Phelps to send an employee to receive HVAC certification that would allow that individual to work on small units. The request from Rural Fire to approve bids for the purchase of equipment was tabled until next Monday's meeting.
