Flooding concerns continue for parts of the four-state area with more rain expected overnight.
Moderate flooding is ongoing along the Neosho River from Erie, KS to Commerce, OK. The river is currently cresting at gauges in Erie, Chetopa and Commerce and a flood warning is in place through Sunday for the river in Kansas and Monday for Oklahoma. The Caney River in Bartlesville is also expected to hit flood stage tonight.
Chautauqua, Labette and Montgomery Counties in Kansas are included in a flood watch through Saturday morning and all of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas are included in a flood watch through Saturday afternoon.
Between a half-inch and an inch of rain is possible for the Coffeyville area overnight, with up to three inches possible further south into Oklahoma.
Much like early this morning, there is a slight chance for severe storm development after 11 p.m. tonight for southern Kansas, most of Oklahoma plus Arkansas and southern Missouri. A few storms could bring marginally-severe hail and winds up to 60 mph. The National Weather Service recommends having multiple ways to receive warning information.
