Man Sentenced for DUI Crash That Killed Barnsdall Teen

An Osage County, OK, man is sentenced to 20 years in prison for the DUI crash that killed a 15-year-old Barnsdall boy.

36-year-old Weston Lowe entered a guilty plea in April to charges if first-degree manslaughter, child endangerment DUI, and leaving the scene of a fatality accident. Yesterday, an Osage County judge sentenced Lowe to 20 years in prison for his role in the crash. Prosecutors say Lowe was driving under the influence when the accident that killed Tyson Townley occurred. Townley was a passenger in Lowe's vehicle along with Lowe's 16-year-old daughter. The girl was also seriously injured in the accident.

By accepting the plea deal, Lowe is eligible for judicial review after five years and could be released at that time.
