The suspect in a weekend shooting in Miami is formally charged.
Court records indicate that 25-year-old Michael Cook the Third has been charged with two counts of shooting with the intent to kill, one count of felony discharging a firearm into a dwelling, and one count of feloniously pointing a firearm.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Saturday night. Cook is accused of firing a gun into the Mia Bella Italian Kitchen restaurant in downtown Miami. When police responded to the scene, Cook exchanged fire with officers and was struck three times.
He remains hospitalized but was booked into the Ottawa County Jail on Tuesday.
