There will be a free community meal and canned food drive in Toronto coming up on June 17th.
The event is to kick off the new meal program at Emerald City Foods. All ages are welcome to stop by and donate a non-perishable food item and enjoy a free meal. The food that is collected will go to supply the new food bank and grocery that will be located in the east storefront of Emerald City Foods on North Main Street in Toronto. Attendees can also learn more about the new 60-Plus Dine and $5 Meal Program.
Representatives from the Southeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging will be on hand to answer questions about the new program.
The event runs from 3 to 7pm on Tuesday, June 17th in Toronto.
