Zoo Brew happens this Friday night at the Ralph Mitchell Zoo in Independence.
This year's theme is “Roars and Cheers to 100 Years.” Zoo Brew happens every other year and raises funds for improvements at the Zoo and at Riverside Park. Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says this year's fundraiser is something everyone can support.
Wilson says there is a plan in case of rainy weather. Zoo Brew gets underway at 6pm on Friday.
Also at Riverside Park this weekend is Miss Able's Summer Blast Off. Join in the celebration of the 66th anniversary of Miss Able's historic space flight with lots of kid-friendly fun. Activities get underway at 10am Saturday morning at Riverside Park.
