The Kansas Department of Transportation approves a new round of projects for southeast Kansas.
The first project given the go-ahead by KDOT is the replacement of a bridge in Allen County. The bridge is located just southwest of Moran and crosses Elm Creek near the intersection of 3400 Street and Nebraska Road. Federal funds will be used for that project.
KDOT has also approved a $420,000 project in Crawford County. That project would cover improvements to signals at the intersection of US-69-B1 and Centennial Drive in Pittsburg. The funding was awarded to C-D-L Electric of Pittsburg.
Nearly $100,000 was also approved for various mudjacking projects in Allen, Greenwood, Linn, Neosho, and Wilson counties. Mudjacking is a concrete repair method used to lift and stabilize sunken concrete slabs. The project was awarded to Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization of Fort Worth.
