The Sedan City Council approves new rates for parties held at the city swimming pool.
At this week's meeting, Pool Manager Bri Ruark asked the council for an increase in the rates for parties for large groups. Ruark says the higher rate would only apply to parties booked for weekends.
The council approved the increase with a unanimous vote. In other business, City Clerk Lana Robinson informed the council about damage to the roof of a city building. Robinson says replacement may be a better option than repairs.
Robinson told council members that the replacement cost would be around $15,000 and that she was currently trying to secure a grant from FEMA to cover the costs. No action was taken on the issue.
