Elk County will hold a primary election this year.
That's according to County Election Officer Kerry Harrod, who says there will be a primary election on August 5th for the City of Longton. There are two open positions, and those running for the spots include Mark Ashenfeiter, William A. Beougher, Ken Coatney Jr., Ervin Davis, Rebecca J. DeWitt, Paul Folsom and Jennifer L. Walker, all of Longton. The last day to register to vote for the primary is July 15th. In person advance voting starts July 21st at the Elk County Clerk's office in Howard.
