The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation is called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Miami.

Miami Police were called to the scene of the Mia Bella Italian Kitchen around 9pm on Saturday after receiving reports that a man had fired a gun into the restaurant from outside. Officers made contact with the male subject who then fled on foot after a brief exchange of gunfire. Law enforcement followed the suspect and more shots were exchanged. The suspect was struck three times and transported by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital, where he currently remains. There were no other injuries reported.

The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Michael Cook.  Police are searching for additional video footage of the incident. If you have potential video from the incident, or anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Miami Police Department at 918-542-5585.
