A chance to celebrate Coffeyville's rich aviation history is coming up this weekend.

 

The Coffeyville Aviation Heritage Museum and the City of Coffeyville are joining together to present a fly-in and car show this Saturday at the Coffeyville Municipal Airport. Organizer Lisa Brookover says this event helps carry on Coffeyville's aviation heritage.

 

Brookover says a lot depends on the weather, but pilots will be welcome to fly in for breakfast starting at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11 to 1 and the car show will be 9 to noon. Brookover says there will be an exhibit set up for those interested in learning more about the Coffeyville Air Base.

 

Whether you fly or drive in, Brookover says all are welcome and the event is free. Everything takes place at the Coffeyville Municipal Airport northeast of town.
