As the calendar rolls on into June, summer reading is starting at libraries around the area.
The Independence Public Library celebrated their kickoff this weekend, and now it's Coffeyville's turn. Coffeyville Public Library Director Rachel Koszalka says she's excited about this year's theme.
The kickoff event will be this Wednesday, June 4th from 10 to noon. In addition to free snacks, games and handing out the summer reading packets, Koszalka says there's going to be a unique fundraiser this year.
The Coffeyville Summer Reading program is open to all ages, and a variety of STEM camps are also available again this summer, and you can sign up by stopping by or calling the library.
