A suspect is in custody following a police pursuit in Crawford County.

 

The incident began when Crawford County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of property damage at a rural residence near Pittsburg. Witnesses at the scene told law enforcement that a Red Ford Explorer had driven onto their property, struck a tree, and then fled the scene.

 

While deputies were investigating, the suspect vehicle drove by the scene. A police chase then ensued. Deputies chased the suspect through the city of Pittsburg, before the man abandoned his vehicle and ran into a house.

 

After a brief altercation, the suspect was tasered and then arrested. He was taken to the Crawford County Jail and booked on charges that include DUI, fleeing and eluding, and leaving the scene of an accident.
